Helinet Aviation Buys Shotover, Gets Funding
Helinet, a provider of flight services to the entertainment, media, and other industries which is based in Van Nuys, said Thursday that it has acquired Shotover Camera Systems, a developer of a gyro-stablized, camera systems used for shooting aerial footage in Ultra High Definition. Financial terms of the buy were not announced, however, Helinet said it received funding from a set of investors for the deal. Phone Power Launches Android App
Winnetka-based Phone Power, a provider of voice-over-IP calling services, has released a new Android app, which it says allows Android smartphone users to make international calls for "little to nothing".
