FishAlerts Taps Esri Technology For Fishing App
Newport Beach-based Great Outdoors Mobile and Redlands-based mapping and GIS software developer Esri said this week that Great Outdoors Mobile has released a new mobile app called FishAlerts!, which lets fishing enthusiasts tap into data on marine protected areas, weather, and tides based on GPS location. ecoATM Lets Users Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims
ecoATM, the developer of the used mobile phone recycling kiosks, said this week that it will allow consumers using its kiosks to donate to the victims of the recently Oklahoma tornadoes. In addition, the San Diego company said it will match all the donations by its users to the OK Strong Fund, which is providing relief to those affected by the May 19th and 20th tornadoes. Hulu Updates Hulu Plus Living Room Experience
Hulu said Friday that it has updated its Hulu Plus service on the Samsung Smart TVs and Blu-ray players, Roku set-top boxes, and soon on the Wii console, as part of an update to the service's user interface. According to Hulu, the enhancements include new, larger, and more vivid artwork for navigation; new trays for navigating through popular shows, movies, and recommendations; a better search experience; a new playback menu; and highlighting of its Hulu Kids service.

TenOneTen Invests In Weotta
Weotta, a Silicon Valley developer of an application to help users discover and find events and things happening locally, has raised a funding round from newly formed Los Angeles investment firm TenOneTen, which was founded by David Waxman and Gil Elbaz. Weotta raised funding from Google Ventures, David Morin, and TenOneTen, and also is backed by Data Collective, Crosslink Capital, and Eric Blachford. Babblr Takes On Tumblr Chat
Babblr, a new startup developing browser chat extensions for Tumblr, said it has launched its Chrome extension this week, giving Tumblr users the ability to instantly chat with friends and followers from their Tumblr dashboard. The Costa Mesa-based startup said that its chat extension includes such features as group chat, profane language censorship, customizable settings, and more. RadPad Raises $200K, Expands To Austin
Los Angeles-based RadPad, an online service which helps consumers find a new apartment, has raised $200,000, and is expanding into a new market. The startup said it raised the funding from real estate company Post Investment Group. RadPad is led by Jonathan Eppers. Radpad developers mobile apps--and most recently, a desktop app--which lets users search for and map out available apartment units in your town, providing photos, costs, and other details on those apartments.

Peregrine Semiconductor In Deal With Murata
San Diego-based radio frequency semiconductor developer Peregrine Semiconductor reported Thursday that it is in a collaborative sourcing deal with Murata. According to Peregrine, it is in a multi-sourcing arrangement for RF switches, where Murata has agreed to source a majority of its RF switching requirements from Peregrine. Cymer Acquisition By ASML Completes
San Diego-based laser light engine provider Cymer is now officially part of ASML, after the completion of ASML's acquisition of Cymer Thursday. The deal was worth $2.5 billion. ASML said it would buy Cymer back in October of 2012, and has been working through a complex set of regulatory approvals since then. Cymer's laser light sources are used in the semiconductor lithography area, used as part of the process of laying out designs on integrated cruits.
